Drum Workshops for School Teachers
Do you provide workshops for teachers and staff?
Yes indeed Drumatic Innovation does workshops for teachers and staff! Most often we will provide a workshop for the teachers after school on the day that we provide an event for the school. This gives the teachers a chance to actually tryout some of the tools and techniques that we share with them throughout the day and in their ‘private’ session in a safe, fun and friendly environment. This workshop is only $75 if taken in conjunction with your schools event.
Drumatic Innovation’s Teacher Trainings assist to equip classroom teachers with the tools they need to incorporate drumming into their school day. Focus is on building basic drum leadership skills, learning beginning technique on the drums and encouraging self-control, respect, and listening in the classroom.
In this unique, fun, hands-on training we use a variety of drums and percussion instruments to guide teachers through a series of musical activities incorporating
non-verbal communication and simple musical building blocks, which directly translate to the classroom, enabling teachers to catch the attention, focus and imagination of their pupils.
