Hand drumming for all levels of experience! Perfect for returning students, beginners who want to learn to drum and experienced drummers looking for some new challenges!
Learn the basics and get a solid foundation. Sharpen your technique. Learn new rhythms.
In this fun class, we will get a sampling of rhythms from around the globe. A broad spectrum of skills and techniques will be covered.

Taught by Ali Thomas
Founder of Dununbabe Percussion and a certified teacher of Tam Tam Mandingue West African School of Percussion.
Ali is a gifted instructor who has taught the djembe drum music of the Mandingue people of West Africa for over ten years. Ali was first introduced the djembe in Sandpoint in 2000. Having traveled the world these last 7 years to study djembe music in depth, including 4 months in Guinea, West Africa, she has returned to share the musical heritage and culture.
3pm to 4pm Sundays – All levels welcome!
No prior musical experience necessary.

Note pad and recorder suggested.
